Summer at the Gebbie Clinic

June 2, 2017

The Gebbie Clinic is offering two camps this summer!

Speaking Orange July 10-12, 2017 - 9am to 12pm. Participants will be engaged in activities with graduate clinicians guided by Dr. Victoria Tumanova and Anita Lightburn, a licensed speech-language pathologist. The camp will focus on A (affective), B (behavioral), and C (cognitive) factors associated with producing speech and and stuttering. Children who attend Speaking Orange camp will participate in activites that will promote awareness of what happens when we speak or stutter, assertiveness when communicating, and healthy attitudes about speaking. (For school aged children at least 7 years of age.)

P.A.C.K.: Phonological Awareness Camp for KidsJuly 17-21, 2017 - 9am to 11:30am. At the Gebbie Clinic, we are committed to the development of emergent literacy skills that support a child’s ability to learn to read. Children who attend camp will practice phonological awareness and oral language skills while participating in games, vocabulary activities, songs, crafts, and story time in a fun, engaging, small-group setting. The P.A.C.K. program is facilitated by graduate students, under the supervision of Megan Leece, a certified and licensed speech-language pathologist. (For children ages 4-5.)
